NURS 234 - Adult Health III
3 hrs (Sem II)
This course explores the health care needs of the adult patient with complex, multisystem alterations in health. An emphasis is placed on the nurse’s role as manager of care to provide safe and quality care for critically ill patients. Focus concepts include patient centered care, nursing judgment, professionalism, and collaboration with the healthcare team. 3 class hours (8-week course).
Prerequisite(s): A grade of B- or better in NURS 210 and NURS 220 ; and a grade of C or better in BIOL 208 /208L and ENGL 102 . Corequisite(s): NURS 235 , NURS 242 , and NURS 243 .
