NURS 220 - Adult Health II
5 hrs (Sem I)
This course explores the health care needs of the adult patient with acute alterations in health. An emphasis is placed on the nurse’s role as manager of care to provide safe and quality care for acute, non-complex patients. Focus concepts include patient centered care, nursing judgment, professionalism, and collaboration with the healthcare team. This course is repeatable for credit. 3 class hours, 6 clinical laboratory hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of B- or better in NURS 110 and NURS 120 ; and a grade of C or better in BIOL 112 /112L , and PSYC 201 . Corequisite(s): NURS 210 .
