NURS 210 - Reproductive and Pediatric Nursing

5 hrs (Sem I)
This course reinforces concepts of therapeutic communication, teaching and learning, information technology, nursing judgment, patient-centered care, health promotion, and professionalism related to nursing practice.  Content will explore the nurse’s role of providing care for obstetric clients, pediatric clients, child bearing families, and reproductive health throughout the life-span. Clinical components provide the student the setting to apply clinical judgment through the nursing process while providing patient-centered care. This course is repeatable for credit. 3.5 lecture, 4.5 clinical laboratory hours.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of B- or better in NURS 110  and NURS 120 ; and a grade of C or better in BIOL 112 /112L , PSYC 201 . Corequisite(s): NURS 220 .
