A Certificate of Program Completion
The Machining Fundamentals Certificate is an intensive one-year (two-year dual credit) program designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment in the precision machining industry. Emphasis is placed on manual and CNC machining, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and industrial safety. Students will gain hands-on experience through courses covering fundamental machining operations, workholding techniques, machine tool operation, and basic CNC programming. This program provides a strong foundation in machining principles, equipping graduates with the skills needed for manufacturing, tooling, and machining-related careers. Graduates of this program may receive advanced placement into the Metalworking Technology Certificate pathway at the Vincennes campus.
