(Ecology, Fisheries, and Wildlife)

A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

Zoology and Marine Biology are exciting fields that can lead to many career opportunities.  Students will gain classroom and field experiences that will prepare them to work in zoos, museums, nature centers, marine and animal parks, state parks, hatcheries, government agencies, or other zoological areas.  Examples of experiences offered in this program include volunteering at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, participating in fisheries research in local streams/lakes, studying the migration of monarch butterflies, and trips to regional zoos, fish hatcheries, and aquaria.  This program has been articulated with Ball State University’s Zoology program and will also transfer to other Indiana institutions.  Students planning to transfer to a B.S degree in marine biology will work with their advisor to see which transfer institutions will be the best fit.
