Certificate of Program Completion
(Available at the American Sign Language campus in Indianapolis)
Some students interested in studying American Sign Language already have either a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree but need some professional training in working with Deaf people in their specific professions like nursing, education, and civil service. This is the ideal venue for these students to take a series of core courses to earn this certificate, which will provide them with basic communication skills and cultural knowledge to improve serving deaf people in the community and to enhance employability. Each student will work with an academic advisor to design the CPC plan, selecting several courses from Major Program Requirements within the range of 15 to 19 credit hours.
