A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

A Vincennes University degree in Horticulture Technology will prepare students for careers in horticulture production, landscape maintenance and design, and garden center management. A variety of classes in the horticulture field and hands-on laboratory experiences in plant identification, landscape design, turfgrass management, and agriculture sales or marketing classes will allow the students to explore the green industry and its possibilities. A summer internship provides students with an opportunity to work with some of the top horticulture and turf companies allowing more hands-on experiences. Vincennes University Horticulture students are able to obtain professional licenses and certificates to enhance their degree and make them more valuable to potential employers. Students will readily find a job in the workforce after graduation as the demand for educated and talented employees is high.
