A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
This comprehensive occupational curriculum is structured for students interested in qualifying for entry-level positions in the field of graphic design. The program is focused on students with a desire to develop an advanced sense of design with an imaginative and creative approach to producing effective communication tactics. Learning includes the technological skills required to create the student’s concepts, compositions and illustrations for print and electronic publication. Students work with actual clients to experience all stages of the design process from concept to production, including client presentations for real-world experience. All learning is project-based, resulting in a well-rounded, entry-level professional portfolio. After successful completion of this program, students are able to meet the needs of employers who are searching for persons with strong design sensibility and the technical skills necessary in today’s graphic design industry. Vincennes University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art & Design.
