A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
This curriculum provides extensive training and experience by expanding on all core skills covered in the one-year program in order to prepare graduates for a wide range of employment opportunities in the audio recording profession. Students may opt to take Pro Tools certification training in the third and fourth semesters of study.

Cohort Requirement
Students who major in Music-Audio Recording, Music, or Music Theatre will be required to attend scheduled performances at VU for four semesters. In order to track your attendance at concerts and recitals, you will be registered for MUSP 001 Concert and Recital Attendance each semester (0 credit hours, no cost to student). This expectation is part of your Degree Plan and will be reflected on your college transcript. A VU graduate from this cohort may have the added benefit of receiving credit for attending VU performance events at his/her transfer institution.
