FNRL 130 - Funeral Service Merchandising

2 hrs (Sem I)
This course equips students with a foundational understanding of the role of merchandise in funeral service. Students will explore the various products offered by funeral providers, including caskets, outer burial containers, alternative containers and other funeral and cemetery goods. The course also examines the methods of purchasing, pricing, displaying, and selling these products, alongside related funeral services. The course will help students to develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary for working with families, funeral professionals, and suppliers to effectively communicate and manage funeral merchandise. 2 lecture hours.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Funeral Service Education Program and a grade of C or better in BIOL 107 /107L , COMM 143  or COMM 148 , ENGL 101 , HSGN 104 , and MATH 102  or MATT 107 , or higher.
