AFLT 183 - Commercial Flight I: Jet Access 2 hrs (Sem I, II, Summer) Students will be introduced to and begin building proficiency in commercial level maneuvers. Students will conduct cross-country flights under Instrument Flight Rules and continue advancing skills in navigation and communication and other tasks specified in the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification - Standards. Upon successful completion of the course, students will meet the requirements of the FAA Airman Certification Standards and will meet the experience requirements for the FAA Commercial Pilot Single-Engine Airplane Certificate. Students will become proficient in commercial level flying maneuvers and procedures introduced in the previous course such as Lazy Eights, Chandelles, Steep Spirals and Eights on Pylons. 2 lecture/laboratory hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in AFLT 178 , or hold an instrument rating.
