COMP 291 - Data Structures
3 hrs (Sem I)
This course in Computer Science builds on introductory concepts and best practices. Specific emphasis is placed on data structures and data abstraction for the development of software systems and software engineering. Additional topics covered are sets, linked lists, stacks, queues, hash tables, trees, heaps, and graphs. Students will complete projects to demonstrate the ability to develop algorithms used for searching, sorting, and data structure manipulation, with the intent to utilize program efficiency. 3 lecture/laboratory hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in COMP 252 .
