BIOL 223 - Principles of Ecology and Evolution 3 hrs (Sem I) This course will study ecological processes and dynamics of populations, communities, and ecosystems. This will include factors regulating population and community structure, case studies, field studies, and simulation models of life history attributes. Evolutionary principles of natural selection, taxonomy, adaptation, and speciation will be covered as well as other evolutionary impacts on nature and society. 3 lecture hours.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in BIOL 105 /BIOL 105L . Corequisite(s): BIOL 223L .
