PHYT 101 - Technical Physics
3 hrs (Sem I, II)
An introductory course designed for technology majors. The course covers measurement, motion, force, work, energy, power, simple machines, torques, properties of materials, fluids, hydraulics, sound, heat, and electricity. 3 lecture hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in MATH 016 ; or a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in MATT 108 ; or a CPTS EA score of 70 or greater. It is further expected that the students be proficient in basic trigonometry (sin, cos, tan, Pythagorean Theorem). Corequisite(s): PHYT 101L
