Entry into this program is limited to students who have successfully completed all major course requirements of the Precision Machining Technology 8470 program curriculum.
Students enrolled in Advanced CNC Machining and Programming Technology receive advanced instruction in modern computerized machining systems, with an emphasis on the interrelationship of CNC machining centers, multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, wire EDM, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). The program is designed to build upon prior machining competencies and focuses on advanced machine setup, CNC programming, and integrated manufacturing processes.
All General Education requirements are satisfied through the previously completed degree. Students planning to pursue the Vincennes University Advanced Manufacturing B.S. degree or the Purdue University Industrial Technology B.S. degree through the VU partnership program are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor regarding specific course sequencing and transfer requirements.
