A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
The Associate of Science in Communication and Media transfer degree provides students with a broad and modern foundation in the study and practice of communication. Students learn to think critically, speak and write effectively, and adapt messages for diverse audiences across interpersonal, group, organizational, and mediated contexts.
Coursework emphasizes practical communication skills and theoretical understanding that equip students for a wide range of professional and academic opportunities. Graduates gain the skills and confidence to transfer into bachelor’s programs or pursue entry-level positions in fields such as public relations, media, corporate and organizational communication, training and development, social media management, and other communication-centered careers.
