The Communication and Media - Journalism Concentration prepares students for success in today’s dynamic media environment. Students develop strong skills in news and feature writing, multimedia storytelling, and digital content production. Working as reporters for The Trailblazer, the college’s student news organization, students gain practical newsroom experience producing stories for print and online platforms. The curriculum also introduces students to related fields such as public relations, advertising, and visual communication, providing a broad foundation for transfer to four-year journalism or mass communication programs or for entry-level roles in news and media industries.
