A Certificate of Graduation

This program prepares graduates to function as paramedics in advanced prehospital emergency care. The curriculum equips graduates with the knowledge and clinical competencies necessary to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification examination, enabling them to enter the profession as credentialed paramedics. Paramedics work under the direction of a physician through written standing orders, radio, and telephone communications. They utilize knowledge and skills to manage medical emergencies of acutely ill or injured clients in prehospital settings. Paramedics are primarily employed by rescue and ambulance service providers. They are also employed in clinics, emergency hospital areas, and other health care facilities. The program has a two-attempt policy. This policy limits an individual to two attempts to enroll in the program.
