A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

This curriculum leads to an A.S. degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) with a concentration in Forestry and Conservation.  This degree is designed to transfer to Purdue University as well as other universities with Forestry programs.  Courses emphasize hands-on learning involving tree identification, forestry measurements, and environmental science. VU’s Robeson Hills Nature Preserve is a 600-acre old-growth forest, giving students excellent forestry experience.
