A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

A Vincennes University degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design will prepare students for careers in horticulture production, landscape maintenance and design, and garden center management. A variety of classes in the horticulture field and hands-on laboratory experiences in plant identification, landscape design, turfgrass management, and agriculture sales or marketing classes will allow the students to explore the green industry and its possibilities. A summer internship provides students with an opportunity to work with some of the top horticulture and turf companies allowing more hands-on experiences. Vincennes University Horticulture and Landscape Design students are able to obtain professional licenses and certificates to enhance their degree and make them more valuable to potential employers. Students will readily find a job in the workforce after graduation as the demand for educated and talented employees is high.
