A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
This program prepares graduates for employment in industrial maintenance by providing a variety of experience in electrical controls, electronics, robotics, mechanical drive systems, programmable logic controllers, hydraulics and pneumatics. Graduates are prepared to install, program, interface, service, troubleshoot, and implement automated equipment for various applications. Students intending to complete the Purdue University B.S. Degree through the VU partnership program are encouraged to consult with their advisor regarding specific course requirements not listed in this catalog.
Admission Requirements
Admission into this advanced program requires prior successful completion of the Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology 8480 (ASCT) major. Acceptance into the program will be granted through the approval of the Manufacturing Technology Department Chair.
