A Certificate of Graduation

The Health Care Professional Pre-Nursing CNA Track curriculum includes a broad base of required general education courses and foundational skills related to nursing. These courses enhance the students’ potential for seeking employment in a health care service agency. This certificate is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing or related fields.

BIOL 111 - Anatomy and Physiology I 3 hrs -and- BIOL 111L - Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory I 1 hr
BIOL 112 - Anatomy and Physiology II 3 hrs -and- BIOL 112L - Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory II 1 hr
CHEM 100 - Elementary Chemistry 3 hrs -and- CHEM 100L - Elementary Chemistry Laboratory 1 hr (Not required for students who have met the high school chemistry requirement for nursing)
ENGL 101 - English Composition I 3 hrs
HIMT 110 - Medical Terminology for Allied Health 3 hrs
HSGN 102 - Introduction to Health Careers 3 hrs
HSGN 106 - Dementia Care 2 hrs
HSGN 200 - Nurse Assistant Preparatory Course 5 hrs
