A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
Specific skills needed for effective performance, editing, and producing in the broadcasting industry are taught. Audio and video production, copywriting, and media sales are explored with practical experience in the University-owned and operated radio and television stations under actual on-air conditions. The primary objective is effective performance and production in the broadcasting industry including radio, TV, and digital media.

Major Program Requirements
All required broadcasting courses must be successfully completed with a grade of C or better. Student may register for 200-level Broadcasting courses only if all 100-level Broadcasting courses have been completed, or are in the process of completion, or by departmental approval.
- BCST 102 - Introduction to Audio-Video Production 3 hrs
- BCST 120 - Audio Production 3 hrs
- BCST 140 - Video Production I (Studio Production) 3 hrs
- BCST 206 - Video Production II (Field Production) 3 hrs
- JOUR 216 - Mass Communications 3 hrs
- Practicum/Internship Directed Elective 3 hrs (Choose BCST 281 , BCST 285 , or BCST 291 )
