A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree
This curriculum provides the first two years of foundation studies in visual art and design intended to transfer and serve as the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program in a variety of art and design related areas. These areas include traditional and contemporary studio arts of design, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking. The General Studio Concentration is especially suited for students who would benefit from more flexibility in their choice of electives. This includes students with transfer credits, credit hours outside of Art and Design or students who desire to explore art media more intensively. It may also serve as a foundation for further study in related areas such as Arts Administration, Animation, Art History, Computer Graphics, Film and Video, Furniture Design, Metals/Jewelry Design and Museum Studies. Vincennes University is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, (NASAD).
