HSGN 201 - Clinical Medical Assistant Preparation Course

7 hrs (On Demand)
This course is designed to prepare the student to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national certification examination. The course will prepare the student to work in multiple healthcare settings. Students will learn to perform various clinical tasks to assist healthcare providers such as, administering medications and with minor procedures. Students complete 60 hours of classroom training and 135 hours of lab and clinical preceptorship. 4 lecture hours, 3 contact hours.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better, or concurrent enrollment in HIMT 110 .
