EALG 100 - Bridge Class

4 hrs (Sem I, II)
This course is for incoming international and domestic students who score a 70 or above on the TOEFL test or a 6 or above on the IELTS but are placed in developmental courses based on the Accuplacer Next Generation test as well as providing continued support to students who have completed the EAL Program. This course provides support to students who need to refresh and/or refine their English skills while taking college-level classes such as composition, mathematics, and study skills. EALG 100 allows students to take courses outside of the EAL Program while receiving guidance and support from an EAL instructor in their use of academic and communicative English. In addition, with special permission from the instructor, this course is open to incoming students as a co-req course to students who are participating in the 1 +1 + 2 visiting students program. This course is repeatable. 3 lecture hours, 4 laboratory hours.
