PMTD 116 - Introduction to CNC Programming 2 hrs (Sem I, II) This course will provide students with entry-level programming knowledge of CNC equipment, along with an introduction to CAD/CAM design and programming. Students will learn various ISNC (Industry Standard Numeric Control) G and M codes and utilize them to create CNC programs from industrial blueprints. Students will also develop basic CAD/CAM skills, including fundamental CAD modeling, toolpath generation, and toolpath simulation to optimize machining operations. Emphasis will be on proper material and tooling selections, part setup, machine parameters, machine settings, part programming, program editing, and program verification. 2 lecture hours.
