JOUR 212 - Advanced Writing and Reporting

3 hrs (Sem II)
This course will provide instruction on a variety of news writing styles as well as adapting news writing for different media platforms. Key content areas include headline writing, comprehensive news writing techniques, social media posts, long-form interview style, and principles of photojournalism. The lab portion of the course will allow students to use these skills in the production of the student newspaper, the Trailblazer. 3 lecture hours, 6 laboratory hours.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in JOUR 110 .
