FIRE 213 - Fire Investigation I
3 hrs (Sem I)
This course implements the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education model curriculum for Fire Investigation I (C0283) and is intended to provide the student with the fundamentals and technical knowledge needed for proper fire scene interpretations, including recognizing and conducting origin and cause, preservation of evidence and documentation, scene security, motives of the fire setter, and types of fire causes. 3 lecture hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in FIRE 111 , FIRE 120 , & FIRE 210 ; or permission from the Fire Program Department Chair.
