HSPS 281 - Exercise and Evaluation for Homeland Security and Public Safety

This course offers a comprehensive exploration of strategies, methodologies, and best practices in emergency management for homeland security. This dynamic course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to plan, conduct, and assess various homeland security exercises, ranging from seminars to tabletop exercises and practical exercise simulations. Students will delve into the intricacies of scenario design, response coordination, recovery strategies, and exercise evaluations. Through theoretical discussions, realistic simulations, and real-world case studies, students will develop a deep understanding of the principles underpinning effective emergency response and crisis management. 3 lecture hours.
