HSPS 100 - Theory and Practical Applications in Homeland Security and Public Safety

3 hrs (Sem I)
This course will provide Law and Safety students a fundamental understanding of current issues, trends, and challenges in public and private sector preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery to natural, man-made and accidental threats and disasters.  Students will be provided a plethora of career exploration activities through multiple block sessions consisting of instruction and practicum.  This course will focus on providing students with hands-on applications and opportunities to learn from a variety of subject matter experts in the field of Homeland Security and Public Safety. 3 lecture hours.
