LAWE 145 - Ethics and Professionalism in Criminal Justice

3 hrs (Sem I)
This course will guide students to understand the culture within the criminal justice system in order to prepare them for their chosen profession. A basic understanding of ethical theories, critical thinking, and advocacy opportunities will be discussed. Students will learn the essential elements and expectations surrounding ethical conduct as employees in the criminal justice field and well-functioning members of society. This will be accomplished through critical thinking and writing exercises, communication exercises, community service, debates, stress inoculation, and scenario-based learning.  3 lecture hours.
