EDUC 292 - Foundations of Education

3 hrs (Sem I, II)
This course provides a contemporary view of the field of education and presents key issues to students who are considering a career as a teacher. Through lectures, videos and activities, students will cover the topics of the state of today’s teachers and schools, philosophical and historical foundations of U.S. education, governance and finance of schools, the art of teaching as it relates to today’s students and teacher classroom responsibilities. 3 lecture hours.
