LAWE 260 - Crime Scene and Criminal Investigation 3 hrs (Sem I) This course is designed to introduce students to the basic aspects and techniques utilized in crime scene processing and any subsequent investigation. By utilizing lectures and practical exercises, students will learn evidence identification, processing and preservation skills. Topics covered include impressions, tool marks, forensic photography, blood spatter, death investigations, firearms, fingerprints, entomology, trace evidence, bodily fluids, DNA, controlled substances, questioned documents, and arson investigations. Additionally, legal and ethical concerns pertaining to interviews, interrogations, and court proceedings will be covered. 3 lecture/laboratory hours.

Prerequisite(s): Students must qualify for ENGL 101 .
