MATH 112 - Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I

4 hrs (Sem I, II)
The sequence MATH 112-MATH 212  fulfills the mathematics requirements for elementary education majors. This course will investigate underlying topics that are common in the K-6 mathematics curriculum. Students will investigate problem solving, number systems (whole, integer, rational and real numbers) and their operations, elementary number theory, and probability. 4 lecture hours.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in MATH 016  or higher, or concurrent enrollment in MATH 032 , or appropriate placement test scores.
