HUMN 245 - Cultural Diversity: Humanities 3 hrs (Sem I, II) Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach, this course will provide students with an opportunity to explore their own ethnic roots. In addition, it will increase their understanding of the main ethnic groups in the United States: Appalachians, Native Americans, Afro-Americans, Asian-Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Hispanics. The social and religious impact on the cultural integration of these groups will be introduced. Discussions on how these aspects of United States culture may affect international dialogues will also be included. HUMN 245 and SOCL 245 - Cultural Diversity: Sociology are equivalent courses; therefore, students with credit in HUMN 245 will NOT receive additional credit in SOCL 245 . 3 class hours.
Writing Reading and Speaking Intensive Course
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in ENGL 101 .
