NURS 355 - Pharmacology
3 hrs (Sem I, II)
Focus will be on pharmacological management. Evidence-based nursing interventions will be incorporated into presentations and case studies. Major drug categories are addressed in terms of mechanism of action, therapeutic effects, side effects, and nursing implications. Emphasis will be placed on the role of the professional nurse as an advocator and collaborator, using a holistic approach to assist the client to achieve an optimal level of outcomes. 3 class hours.
Prerequisite(s): A current RN License.
