SOCL 153 - Introduction to Social Work
3 hrs (Sem I, II)
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in READ 009 , ENGL 009 and MATH 010 , or SAT Reading and Writing scores of 380 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores; and a grade of C or better in or concurrent enrollment in READ 011 . Recommendation: SSKL 102 or SAT Writing score of 420 or greater. An introduction to the field of social work, the functions performed by the professional social workers, and opportunities in the field. 3 lecture hours.
