A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

This program combines both the practical and theoretical aspects of baking and pastry preparation with emphasis on the technical skills required for occupations that include all facets of pastry preparation.  Laboratory experience is stressed to achieve technical excellence in quantity pastry preparation.  Typical positions upon graduation include bakery assistant, baker, and/or pastry chef.  The ASCT degree program is designed for students wishing to enter the food service industry in a pastry or baking position.
