SOCL 153 - Introduction to Social Work
3 hrs (Sem I, II)
An introduction to the field of social work, the functions performed by the professional social workers, and opportunities in the field. 3 lecture hours.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in READ 009 , ENGL 009 and MATH 010 , or SAT Reading and Writing scores of 380 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores; and a grade of C or better in or concurrent enrollment in READ 011 . Recommendation: SSKL 102 or SAT Writing score of 420 or greater.
