NURS 370 - Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in Nursing

7 hrs (Sem I, II)
Focus will be on pharmacological management and pathogenesis of complex health problems. Evidence-based nursing interventions will be incorporated into concept mapping and case studies. Major drug categories are addressed in terms of mechanism of action, therapeutic effects, side effects, and nursing implications. Emphasis will be placed on the role of the professional nurse as an advocator and collaborator, using a holistic approach to assist the client to achieve an optimal level of outcomes. 7 class hours.

Prerequisite(s): Current RN License.
